Humans

What makes up a person? Past experiences, memories, thoughts, family, environment, culture...?  People are made up of many things, and we share many similarities with one another yet we are all unique.   My work consists of cloth representations of human beings through silhouettes. Silhouettes serve as a symbol for a human rather than a depiction of one individual person.  Silhouettes are ambiguous, allowing for different interpretations while also serving as a mirror for personal reflection. The outline of the external human form allows for a more open interpretation of the human being, allowing us to see/imagine the inner being or the spiritual being that exists inside the viewable physical form
